A touch-screen industrial computer is an industrial computer that lets operators work on the screen without needing a keyboard or mouse. These devices are usually offered as Panel PCs; however, a similar system can also be built by combining a touch monitor with an external Box PC.

Touch-screen industrial computers are suitable for operators to monitor machine status, change production parameters, see alarm messages and use HMI software.

• Capacitive or resistive touch technology
• Requirement for use with gloves
• Screen brightness and reflection
• Front panel protection against dust and water
